Richard will review where you can get a free software download to get you quickly started with virtualization.
The presentation will be preceded at 6:30 p.m. with a half-hour question-and-answer session on computer related hardware and software issues. There will be a short business meeting and special interest group announcements at 7:00 p.m. All are welcome to attend and the public is invited, join us at the Best Western Inn and Conference Center on Route 9, Poughkeepsie, NY.
Thursday Sept 11th, 2008: The presentations by Steve Lindsay, a Microsoft Developer and general technology enthusiast, regardless of brand, were a huge success. Although Steve planned on covering Windows Vista editions, Search Anywhere, Windows Sidebar, Windows Aero and Flip 3-D and Windows Vista Security. Also Windows Vista Firewall, DVD Maker & Movie Maker. There was just not enough time for everything.
Steve did dispell the idea that Vista was to be avoided, and gave a compelling presentation on why Vista is the only real OS option to use.
Thank you Steve, we hope to have you back in the near future.
Be sure to read about this exciting presentation in a future issue of microCHIP.
There was a very good turnout with many prizes given away,
including a video camera, a River Clix 2 GB music player & Vista Ultimate.
Join us for the next presentation.
